Oliver Lewis leads the cross government strategy for Learning and Development in digital, data and technology. Lewis is a public servant with interests in near future technologies, institutional and corporate culture, the creative industries, diplomacy and national security. On a career break from the UK Civil Service Oliver built a public sector business for British start-up Improbable and managed corporate development. Prior to joining Improbable, Oliver was a civil servant in the Ministry of Defence and Foreign & Commonwealth Office at home and abroad, often working alongside the military in conflict zones. He co-founded the Near Future Society, is a fellow of the British Army’s Centre for Historical Analysis and Conflict Research and a senior research associate at the University of Oxford.
